Fort Fairfield hosts the annual Maine Potato Blossom Festival the second week in July when the potato blossoms are in full bloom. This 9 day festival features farmer olympics, road races, arts & crafts, fireworks, river races, and mashed potato wrestling, and much more! Fun for the entire family.
Don’t miss this ‘spudtacular’ event. The Potato Blossom Festival is one of the oldest and most established festivals in Maine. Founded in 1937, this venue was created to celebrate Maine’s supreme commodity, the potato. No matter who you go with to the festival, there is something for everyones interest. Some of the traditional activities include the Maine Potato Blossom Queen Pageant, the Annual Antique Tractor Pull and fireworks over the beautiful Aroostook River.
Do you want your pet to get his/her moment of fame? Enter your furry pal in the Household Pet Show. There’s food, singing, dancing, arts & crafts, horse shows, mashed potato wrestling and so much more. Who knew potatoes could be so much fun? – Mainetodo.com
Is there a 5K during the Potato Blossom Festival?
Thanks
Sarah
